In keeping the governor’s edict on Thursday that open-air malls can open on Saturday, Downtown Summerlin announced on Friday that it will be open as well.
With a couple of caveats.
First, individual retailers and restaurants in the mall will make their own decisions on whether to open or not. Some, that have been deemed essential all along, will remain open while others will still only offer curbside service.
Restaurants will do the the same. Most will continue to just provide carryout or curbside pickup, while a few will allow limited dine-in.
All retailers, however, will abide by the restrictions the state has determined to allow re-opening, such as limited capacity, patrons and employees are encouraged to wear masks and everyone maintaining 6-feet of social distancing.
On its twitter account, the mall stated: “Our customers say it best. We look forward to seeing you! In accordance with Governor Sisolak’s announcement yesterday, retail that meet Phase One criteria in open air shopping centers are permitted to operate under Phase One guidelines.
